This footwear project was designed to elevate storytelling around Nike SB and Jordan by collaborating with another iconic franchise—The Simpsons. Inspired by Bart Simpson’s love for skateboarding and his irreverent attitude, I created a bold color and material package that imagines a live-action version of his sneakers reimagined as Air Jordans.I chose the Air Jordan 3 for its minimal design, providing the perfect canvas for vibrant colors and nearly seamless material application. To further tie into Bart’s signature style, I added an interior bubble, referencing the shape of his animated shoes, which also served as the perfect spot to feature his skull and crossbones symbol from his infamous attempt to jump Springfield Gorge.As a tribute to animation, the shoebox features a sheath overlay that simulates clouds drifting across the sky, just like the show's opening sequence—also a nod to Air Jordan, as they move across the Jumpman logo. On the back of the box, pulling the sheath back reveals Bart spray-painting his notorious moniker, El Barto, adding one final rebellious touch.
